Review by Sean

Having never heard of this group before today, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but didn’t figure I’d lose much time if it was bad, because it was only an EP.
I’m so happy that this EP exceeded all expectations.
It’s a phenomenal disc, and honestly,MORE than worth your time. It’s a perfect celebration of all things 80s Heavy Metal. There’s Maiden in here, Jag Panzer, Savatage, and it all blends together so fucking well.
How well?
Let’s talk about it.

It opens with a track called ‘Breaking Down the Walls’, that is VERY early Maiden. Especially the track ‘Children of the Damned’. I mean, unmistakably so. Having said that, it is still a great track though. I really dig it a lot, it’s like the perfect way to honour your idols.
Second up is ‘Silver Bullet’, a song where I can hear that Jag Panzer influence. It’s still bloody good stuff, and it’s amazing that there are bands out there doing this sort of stuff these days. More of this, but a full album please, lads!

The halfway point is the track ‘Prepare to Rock’, an excellent heavy metal call to arms. Of the five tracks on offer, this one is what I’d call the “least best” but it’s still a great track. That’s the great thing, all the tracks on this EP are stellar, so you can’t lost at all.
‘To the Death’ still has a heavy Maiden sound, but it’s Maiden if they decided to go deeper into metal and less into the fantasy side of things. This track is damn fine, and is also my pick of the entire EP. Absolutely one of the finest songs I’ve heard this year.
Holy fuck I change my mind. This track…. Fucking blew. My. Mind. It’s called ‘Rise from the Flames’, it’s nine minutes long exactly, and contains within it some seriously epic heavy metal, complete with twin harmony solos. My Gods, this was well worth the wait.

In summary, this is an EP you need in your life. And I will absolutely be looking for more of these guys, and hoping they come to a venue near me soon.
